Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work more efficiently and to provide information to website owners. We also use similar technologies such as web beacons, pixels, and local storage.
We use two categories of cookies and similar storage: (a) Strictly Necessary technologies, which are required for authentication, security, core service features, and remembering your cookie preference; and (b) optional Analytics technologies, which help us measure traffic, attribution, product usage, performance, and user interactions. On our public website and platform.respan.ai, optional Analytics stay off until you accept if you are in the EU, EEA, UK or Switzerland, or if we cannot determine your region. In other regions, optional Analytics may run unless you reject them. Your explicit rejection applies across these sites. We also disable optional Analytics when your browser sends Global Privacy Control. Enterprise environments continue to require an explicit acceptance.
These technologies are essential for the Service and cannot be disabled through our cookie settings. They include session, authentication, CSRF protection, and security storage. We store your current cookie choice in respan_consent_v2 for up to 365 days across Respan websites and the platform. We also keep a synchronized respan_consent_v1 choice temporarily for compatibility with older site versions. Visitors in regions requiring prior opt-in are asked to choose again under v2; elsewhere an existing v1 choice remains effective until changed. Rejecting Analytics does not affect necessary features.
When optional Analytics are enabled under the regional rules above, we use product analytics, marketing attribution, performance monitoring, and session replay to understand how visitors and users interact with Respan. Homepage experiment assignment requires explicit acceptance. Depending on the page, these technologies may collect page views, clicks, referring and campaign information, device and browser information, approximate location derived from an IP address, performance data, and recordings of interactions. We use this information to measure campaigns and improve the Service.
When optional Analytics are enabled under the regional rules above, third-party tools may set cookies or use similar storage. These tools may include PostHog, Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager or Ads, OpenAI advertising measurement, RB2B, HumanBehavior, and Sentry performance tracing or replay. Sentry basic error reporting may operate without optional tracing, replay, or identified user context to maintain service reliability. Third-party processing is also governed by the respective providers' privacy notices. The tools used can differ between our public website and logged-in platform.
If you are in the EU, EEA, UK or Switzerland, or if we cannot determine your region, we show a notice so you can accept or reject optional Analytics on your first visit. In other regions, we do not show the notice, and optional Analytics may run until you reject them. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time by selecting Cookie settings in the website footer or platform interface. Withdrawing consent stops optional analytics and removes the related Respan-accessible cookies and browser storage where technically possible; necessary authentication and application storage are preserved. You can also control or delete cookies through your browser settings.
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting a notice on the Service. The date at the top of this policy indicates when it was last updated.
